Who Is Devo Keenan?
Devo Keenan is the son of the American rock singer Maynard James Keenan. Music magazine Kerrang says Devo was born on August 5, 1995, and that he is a musician like his father. Some other sites write his name as Devo H. Keenan.
Devo is not a celebrity in the usual sense. He does not give many interviews, and he is not often in the news. Most people find his name while reading about his father.
How Old Is Devo Keenan?
If he was born on August 5, 1995, Devo is 31 years old in October 2026. Different websites sometimes only say “born in 1995”, but the full date appears in more than one source.
Who Is His Father?
Maynard James Keenan was born on April 17, 1964, in Ravenna, Ohio. He became famous as the singer of Tool, one of the best known bands in modern rock. He later started A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. He also makes wine and runs a winery called Caduceus Cellars.
Maynard is known for keeping his private life away from the public. He talks about his music and his wine much more than about his family. This is one big reason why there is so little information about Devo.
Is Devo Keenan a Musician?
Kerrang describes Devo as a musician. That is the one career detail that a well known music source gives. Some smaller websites go further and describe his music style, albums or stage shows. I could not confirm these claims in reliable places, so I do not repeat them here.
If Devo shares his music in the future, his own official pages will be the best place to learn about it.
Why Is There So Little Information?
There are a few simple reasons.
- Devo does not promote himself in a big way.
- His father protects the family’s privacy.
- He is an adult, so he can choose what to share.
When facts are hard to find, some websites fill the gap with guesses. Be careful with articles that give a long list of details about his school, home, money or relationships. If a site does not name a clear source, it is better not to trust it.
What We Do Not Know
To be honest with readers, here is what is still unclear:
- Where he lives now
- What his daily work looks like
- Whether he has released music under his own name
- Any details about his personal relationships
None of this is public in a reliable way, and it is fair for him to keep it private.
Final Thoughts
Devo Keenan is a private person who happens to have a famous father. What we know for sure is short: he is Maynard James Keenan’s son, he was born on August 5, 1995, and he is described as a musician. Everything else is better left unwritten until he chooses to share it.
